10 Extra Credit Points!!

Dear Participants,

Thanks for your patience and great diligence in order to meet the requirements of our two workshops. Hopefully you've had a fruitful learning experience. I believe that most of you have done really well. So thank you for making me proud. Just before we wrap up, care to earn 10 extra credit points to boost your grades??!!

If you can afford 20 more minutes to fill out a post-perceptions survey in which you express your opinion on the use of technology tools, you can well deserve the extra credit points.

Please note that this is totally optional and anonymous.

Cheers,

Quiz successful submission - 1st deadline

Dear Participants,

I had a quick look at your submitted quizzes and sent out initial reports and recommendations separately. Please find below a list of those who managed to successfully meet deadline 1.

On another note, those who are retaking the quiz, make sure you are elaborate enough in your essay items (50-100 words)providing enough backing and/or analysis of each weakness. Giving too brief answers is not advisable.

Best wishes

Post survey successful submission - deadline 1

Dear Participants,

10 out of 18 managed to successfully submit their surveys by the first deadline, Sun 16, 2009. I sent out 2 emails requesting re-submissions for those who did not meet the minimum requirements for the commentary (100-250 words). All those who successfully met the requirements have earned 20% of their grade in Teaching Methodologies. More detailed reports will follow.

Cheers,

Edison's famous quote

Dear Participants,

I've just come across Edison's inspiring quote I referred to yesterday:

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -- Thomas Edison

I personally find it transformational. How about you? What learning philosophy/approach underlies this quote? How relevant is this philosophy to foreign language learning and teaching?

Important : Methods & Approaches Summary Table

Dear Participants,

Please find below the link for the scanned document of the summary table for methods & approaches (Nunan).

Thanks are due to Mr Mostafa for inspiring this idea to save us time and effort:) This is a constant reminder on how learning is a two-way never-ending process. Lifelong learners (i.e. teachers) learn from each other as long as they live:)

Thanks for being such an attentive and engaged audience during both workshops. Good luck with your HW tasks.

Cheers,

Hanaa Khamis

Post Survey

Dear Participants,

Below is the link to the post survey. For those who already did the pre-survey, just revisit the same assumptions. For those who haven't done the pre-survey, you just take the post survey for the first time. Both groups need to add a commentary on the statements they agree with supporting them with reasons and relevant information from the workshop.

Hanaa Khamis
